Slates & Tablets
Think of a Slate as an area on any given page, where you can create sub pages related to the page without adding additional items to the top navigation menu, in other words, the Slate area allows you to add sub pages (Tablets) within an existing page.
  • A Slate is essentially a set of sub pages we call Tablets installed in an area of a page. Once installed on a page, an unlimited number of Tablets (sub pages) can be created within the page. You can add, reorder, rename, remove, publish and unpublish these Tablets at any time. A Slate and it's corresponding Tablets become part of the page where they are installed. If you move the page, the Slate and Tablets move with it, if you delete the page, the Slate and Tablets are deleted with it. If you delete the Slate on a page, all of it's corresponding Tablets (sub pages) will also be deleted.
  • A Tablet is the individual sub page created within the Slate area. Any Slate area on a page can contain an unlimited number of Tablets, which in turn can contain the same content that a normal web page uses. This includes text, images, movies, links, files, galleries etc. A Tablet is simply a "page" created in a Slate area of an existing page.
