How to clear the browser cache.
The cache contains a copy of the websites you have visited (to speed
up the browsing), it is usually automatically kept up to date and you
do not need to clear it.
It might however, become necessary to clear the cache
This is a quick guide on how to clear your cache, since this is
different depending on which browser you are using, only the most
common browsers are included here.
Firefox
- Access the "tools" menu and click on "Clear Private Data..." or press "Ctrl+Shift+Delete"
- Make sure all check-boxes are unchecked, except "Cache"
- Click "Ok"
Internet Explorer version 7 and 8
- Access the "tools" menu (usually located upper left of the browser window, press the 'Alt' key if you can't see it)
- Click on "Internet Options"
- Click on "Delete..." under "Browsing history"
- Click on "Delete files..." under "Temporary Internet Files" (top button)
- Click on "Yes"
Internet Explorer version 6
- Access the "tools" menu
- Click on "Internet Options"
- Click on "Delete files..." under "Temporary Internet Files"
- Check "Delete all offline content"
- Click on "OK"
