While we've gone to great lengths to make WFW as simple as possible to
use, there are still many things that are very helpful to know. This
section describes some of the various components you will find while
working with your site.
The Editor toolbar
(almost) Everything happens here. The
left side of tool bar
contains familiar tools that you will find in most work processors,
alignment, fonts sizes, styles, colors, bulleted and numbered lists and
more. The right side contains specialized tools for working with files,
media, images, tables and hyperlinks as well as special tools for
viewing the raw html code, cleaning dirty code and embedding movie code
from sources like YouTube™.

The Button Row
see these buttons on every new "Tablet" or page you create. These
buttons allow you to set up the page for something specific. Most of
the time you will use the "Edit" button. The Edit button is used for
all types of content. From text to images to files and links, clicking
the edit button makes the central area of your page editable via the
Editor Toolbar (above)
other 3 buttons perform very specific functions and allow you to use
your page for RSS feeds, a dynamic calendar, or an Image Gallery.
Clicking any of these buttons changes the page to the appropriate
Any module can be removed from any page
at any time. Removing the module resets the page back to the default
setting with the button initial button row.
There are 3 types of editable areas on your pages.
1) Title areas
In these areas, text can be edited but can not be styled. You will not see the Editor Toolbar when editing these areas.
2) Summary areas
are available on all Tablets. As with titles, summaries can not be
styled. You can enter plain text only into summary fields.

at the top of each Tablet above the main content area when in edit
mode. Summaries should contain a very brief description of the content
one expects to find on the tablet. Summary display (show/hide) can be controlled via the Slate Settings link on your home page.

main area of any page standard page contains a central content area
that can be edited using the Editor Toolbar. These area accept many
types of content including text, images, media, documents, audio,
hyperlinks and more. Everything you're reading on this site was created
using the Editor Toolbar.
Important tools & icons
The Edit icon
icon appears when an area has been created using the Edit button from
the Button Row, and content has been added to the area. Clicking this
button either opens up an editable title area, or opens a content area
and produces the Editor ToolBar.
The Save icon Saves the changes to the currently open area. (you can only edit one area at a time)
The Close icon Closes the currently open area without changes (prompts user to proceed or cancel)
The Revision Tool
Allows you to "revert" to any of the last 10 previous states of the
area. Drop down displays user, date and time of previously saved
Administering your Site
web page is actually something we call a Slate. Slates contain Tablets
(or pages). You can have as many Tablets on a Slate as you need. Some
of the functions of Slates and Tablets are controlled through the
administration links on your home page. You only see these links when
you are logged in and viewing your home page.
Add Blank Tablet
Adds a new Tablet (page) to your site
Assign Slate Editor
Allows you to designate someone else as the editor of your site
you to configure certain parameters of your pages, such as, displaying
summaries or the time and date each page was last modified.
Delete All Tablets
ALL of the tablets (pages) on your site. This operation can not be
undone and the content of your pages can not be recovered.
